THE ALL NIGHT STRUT!
The Colony Theatre
 by Carol Kaufman Segal

Once in a while it is simply enjoyable to attend the theatre to relax and enjoy a group of very talented performers with light entertainment of music, song and dance - great music pre rock and roll!

The Colony Theatre in Burbank has just the right menu for just such an evening in their final show of their 36th season entitled The All Night Strut!, conceived by Fran Charnas, and wonderfully directed and choreographed by Murphy Cross and Paul Kreppel.

The All Night Strut! features Michael Dotson, Jayme Lake, Scotch Ellis Loring and Jennifer Shelton, each one with a talent to put over a song, but especially terrific when singing together in harmony. The clever choreography and the musicians under the direction of Dean Mora (pianist) all add up to an evening of nostalgia with songs like Crazy Rhyghm, A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square, A Fine Romance, Ain't Misbehavin', to name just a few of the 28 that also includes a medley of songs from World War II.

This production offers a delightful evening of memories that goes from the Depression, World War II and the postwar eras. Sit back, relax and tap your feet! Performances are Thursdays and Fridays at 8 PM, Saturdays at 3 PM and 8 PM, and Sundays at 2 PM, through May 1. For tickets, call the Colony Theatre Box Office at (828) 558-7000, ext. 15, or go online at www.colonytheatre.org. The Theatre is located at 555 North Third St. in Burbank.
