Too bad that this exciting
program, Riverdance, that opened at the Pantages Theatre on November 15,
was scheduled to play there for one week only (closing November 20). The
thrilling performances by this company, an Irish dance troupe, musicians
and singers is, undoubtedly, the only entertainment of its kind that, in
its 16th year, has thrilled audiences throughout forty countries and four
continents. |

- BroadwayLA brought Riverdance back to the
Pantages Theatre in Hollywood exactly fifteen years to the day that
the show originally premiered at the same venue. It sold out then, and
seems to sell out anytime, anywhere. Producer Moya Doherty recently
announced that this United States touring production will play its
final performance in June, 2012, which means that this Pantages
engagement will be the final chance for Riverdance.
to be seen in Los Angeles. Many
times, these announcements are made, but nothing is ever set in stone, and
because this production is such a smash hit and sells out everywhere it
goes, we will all hope that Riverdance will, one day, be on the road
again.
