Too bad that this exciting program, Riverdance, that opened at the Pantages Theatre on November 15, was scheduled to play there for one week only (closing November 20). The thrilling performances by this company, an Irish dance troupe, musicians and singers is, undoubtedly, the only entertainment of its kind that, in its 16th year, has thrilled audiences throughout forty countries and four continents.

 
BroadwayLA brought Riverdance back to the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood exactly fifteen years to the day that the show originally premiered at the same venue. It sold out then, and seems to sell out anytime, anywhere. Producer Moya Doherty recently announced that this United States touring production will play its final performance in June, 2012, which means that this Pantages engagement will be the final chance for Riverdance.

to be seen in Los Angeles. Many times, these announcements are made, but nothing is ever set in stone, and because this production is such a smash hit and sells out everywhere it goes, we will all hope that Riverdance will, one day, be on the road again.
